In October 2024, Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), our intelligent manufacturing plant produced its first vehicle, an IONIQ 5. Located in Bryan County, Georgia, the highly connected, automated and flexible manufacturing system organically connects all elements of the EV ecosystem to realize customer value. Utilizing AI and data, it optimizes all processes of production—order collection, procurement, logistics and production. And once it reaches full production, the plant will produce 300,000 Hyundai, Genesis and Kia electric vehicles.

Committed to 100% renewable electricity.

Great things happen when we all work together. Hyundai Motor Company proudly joins Climate Group RE100 in a global initiative committed to 100% renewable electricity between 2040 and 2050. Using solar panels and power purchase agreements (PPA) with wind and solar energy producers and Korea Electric Power Corporation's (KEPCO) 'Green Premium' program, we can get to our goal.
