Making your drive safer.
Safety that always looks ahead, makes sure you&39;re not drifting, and checks your blind spot ‐ even shows it to you onscreen. Several SmartSense features not only warn you of potential accidents, they step in when necessary to help keep you and your passengers safe.
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection (FCA-Ped)
- Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)
- Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)
- Lane Following Assist (LFA)
When the system detects a vehicle or pedestrian in your path, it warns you of a potential collision. If you don&39;t begin stopping in time, the system may automatically apply braking.
If your Hyundai detects a vehicle in your blind spot while your turning signal's on, it will alert you and may automatically apply the left or right front brake before you change lanes.
When you use the turn signal before a lane change, the digital instrument cluster displays a live video feed of your blind spot from the side-view mirror cameras.
Using the front-view camera to detect lane markers on the road, this feature assists the driver&39;s steering to help keep the vehicle centered inside the lane.
- Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
- Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
- High Beam Assist (HBA)
Your vehicle warns you through audio and visual cues if your vehicle drifts out of its driving lane without signaling. If necessary, it will gently apply corrective steering assistance to keep you inside the lane.
To help prevent potential accidents, this system monitors your driving patterns to detect drowsy or inattentive driving. Once detected, it alerts you with a sound cue coupled with a warning message on the instrument cluster.
Constantly turning your high beams off and on can be a hassle, which is why this thoughtful feature automatically does it for you. It can detect oncoming vehicles and toggle between high and low beams accordingly.
Making your drive easier.
Convenience that helps make commutes and long drives more bearable by safely taking over the tedious parts of driving when you want them to.
- Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go
- Highway Driving Assist (HDA)
While traveling at a speed set by you, it uses radars to maintain a safe distance from the car ahead. After the system slows the vehicle to a stop, it will reactivate if the vehicle in front moves within 3 seconds.
When actively engaged with Smart Cruise Control or Lane Following Assist, it automatically helps keep you centered in your lane and traveling at a safe distance behind the car ahead. It also can keep you driving at the right speeds, automatically setting your pace based on GPS and highway data.
- Highway Driving Assist II (HDA-II)
- Downhill Braking Control (DBC)
When actively engaged with Smart Cruise Control or Lane Following Assist, it adjusts steering and speed to help keep you centered in your lane and traveling at a safe distance behind the car ahead. With Lane Change Assist, when you use your turn signal at 37 mph or higher, it automatically changes lanes for you. It can also adjust your position in the lane if a vehicle in the next lane drives too close. And at lower speeds it can react to a vehicle that suddenly cuts you off.
When activated this feature will automatically slow your vehicle as it heads downhill. It will also maintain a slower speed so that you can focus on steering safely to avoid obstacles caused by traffic, weather or road conditions.
Looking out ‐ and even in ‐ when you park.
Potential accidents can come from anywhere when you park. So, SmartSense parking-related sensors keep an eye out for you when you&39;re backing out or in. They also help keep your backseat passengers safe, whether they&39;re getting out onto a road or accidentally left inside.
- Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
- Ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert (Ultrasonic ROA)
- Rear Occupant Alert (ROA)
When you&39;re going in reverse, it lets you know if its sensors detect a vehicle approaching from the left or right. It may even apply the brakes automatically if needed.
As the engine is turned off, a visual warning in the instrument cluster reminds you to check the rear seats before exiting. Additionally, overhead ultrasonic sensors monitor the backseat area to minimize the risk of a child or pet accidentally being left inside after the vehicle is parked and locked. If sensors detect movement, the horn will honk, lights will flash and your smartphone will receive an alert through Bluelink®.
Reminds you to check the backseat area to ensure a child or pet isn&39;t accidentally left inside after you park.
- Safe Exit Assist (SEA)
- Safe Exit Warning (SEW)
This pioneering innovation warns the driver when the vehicle is parked and its radar detects a vehicle approaching from behind. If necessary, it will override attempts to deactivate the Electronic Child Safety Lock until it&39;s safe for your child to open the door.
